If you're looking at a to-do list right now and feeling that familiar weight in your chest... the one that says, "I should have done this by now"...
Pause for a second.
That list isn't a record of failure. It's a record of hope.
It was written by a version of you that believed today would be easier. That energy would be there. That focus would show up on time.
And when it didn't... the list stayed.
That doesn't mean you let yourself down. It means your brain changed gears without asking permission.
Here's something I want you to hear clearly: An unfinished task is not a moral problem.
You're not behind. You're not irresponsible. You're just carrying expectations that were set on a better-than-average day.
So today, instead of attacking the list... try softening it.
Look at one item and ask: Is this still for me? Or is it just leftover pressure?
If it still matters, make it smaller. Smaller than you think is reasonable.
And if it doesn't... let it go. Deleting something is also a form of progress.
Your list should support your life — not judge it.
You're allowed to adjust. You're allowed to change your mind. You're allowed to start again tomorrow without punishment.
This is ADHD FM. I'll be here when you're ready.
